Paine Standing Desk: In this case the customer provided a photo of a table called the “Kingwood Server,” designed by Eero Saarinen in 1929, and asked that I design a stand-up desk in a similar style. The desk is cherry with a half-round piece of birdseye maple which keeps pencils from rolling off when the top is tilted. Inside is a good bit of storage and the tilting mechanism. The footrest has a brushed brass scuff plate.
As is always the overall dimensions are up to you but the desk pictured has the listed dimensions and is the right height for someone 5’11” to 6′ 3″ or so.
