Don’s Desk: Another candidate for a signature piece I cannot take full credit for the design of this writing desk with pigeon hole console. I drew a desk with lots of arcs and my “Ming Shaker” detailing. The customer came back with a design in which the curve in the pigeon hole console carries on through the lower drawer frame; that detail makes the piece! I have made this desk in two other sizes. Pictured in cherry with birdseye maple panels and drawer fronts, it has ebonized walnut drawer pulls. I have also made the desk in solid cherry and could do other combinations of wood or use the single wood species of your choice.
