Pencil-leg Table Desk: This table-desk design with a drawer works well for tables up to 60″ long; without a drawer it can be as long as you want and in both cases the depth is up to you. I can make larger tables with drawers, but they need to have a center support in the long direction resulting in drawers that are less than half the table width deep. I have also made this with other combinations of woods (like the birdseye maple top and a dyed cherry base pictured) and natural and dyed finishes.
