Chairs, Benches, Stools: Windsor furniture, Shaker furniture, and Thos. Moser all influence the design of my Contemporary Windsor Chairs, Stools, and the Bowback Bench.  I worked for Tom Moser from 1980 on into 1986.  These contemporary wooden seating options fit well with many decors.  The TLB Chair design shows mission influence.  My own mother commissioned the Shaker Meeting House Bench for the entryway of the church were she was Deacon.   The Transition Dutch Chair with Spanish Feet is a copy of a chair a customer brought to me.   Indeed I have copied several other challenging chair designs for customers who couldn’t find them elsewhere.  This is the only one that was professionally photographed.  Go to the “amateur” photo category of my website: or directly to the photo links below to see some other examples of chairs and benches I have made.

The “Olney” Chair  photo shows the unfinished frame of an Italianate Side Chair with upholstered seat and  carved back and legs.  The order included two arm chairs and four side chairs.   The Glass-Top Dining Table and Chairs were part of a whole house full of Mission inspired furniture I designed and built.    The Rocking Chair was my first attempt at a rocker. It lacked a headrest which I think is necessary to a comfortable rocking chair.   The 6 Foot Bowback bench shows a larger version of my most popular item.  This contemporary Windsor Bench is a customer favorite.  The Contemporary Windsor Arm Chair is was designed and built to compliment my Contemporary Windsor Side Chair but has not yet been professionally photographed.
