Variation Contemporary Windsor Chair: These variations on my contemporary windsor chair design differ in several respects. First they have laminated knee leg supports in place of stretchers. Second, though they “sit” the same as the original, the seats are narrower than the original. Third the chair has six spindles rather than the eight in the original. My intent when designing was to create a lighter more delicate looking kitchen chair.
